Yemen, which is mentioned with conflicts on the world agenda today, hosted sectarian conflicts and rebellions for about 400 years when it was under Ottoman control. Despite all the help, investment and military power of the empire, the regional sovereignty movements of the Zaydi imams were one of the most important reasons for these rebellions. In the 18th and 19th centuries, the Ottoman Empire had to struggle not only with the rebellious natives but also with the imperialist states in Yemen. The struggle was not only for Yemen, this region also had an important place in preventing the enemies from entering the holy lands.
