In the southeast Antolia providence of
Mardin, the city of the same name gives the
impression of time having stopped. Famous
for its old stone houses, the city is also
home to mosques, mausoleums, churches,
monasteries, representing a variety of
religious beliefs, and all filled with both
historic and artistic value. The province of
Mardin is located along the historical Silk
Road, and there are 5 inns and caravansaries
in the city.
