Antakya, capital of Hatay Province, is situated on the Orontes River, and at the foot of Mt. Silpius. It is a fertile land, where grains, cotton, grapes, olives, and vegetables are grown. The productive land, climate and location near the mediterranean sea contributed to the city's rich historical past, full of a variety of settlements and civilizations.

With its current faith tourism centers, ancient cities and beautiful plateaus, the province of Hatay has a high potential for tourism.

The districts of Hatay province are; Altınözü, Belen Dörtyol, Erzin, Hassa, İskenderun, Kırıkhan, Kumlu , Reyhanlı, Samandağ and Yayladağı.
